Overall we were extremely happy hunting wtih Shawn and Blair.  I have hunted around the world with many guides and Shawn's Skills as a guide were the best I have seen.  The geese and duck were plentiful but the real enjoyment was watching Shawn. At distances that we could barely see birds, Shawn would start his calling.  He would point out which birds would come in and what species of geese or duck they were.  The species of geese that we shot were greater Canada, lesser Canada, speckles and snows.  The duck were mainly mallards and pintail.  We enjoyed all aspects of our time together and would recommend Shawn and Blair to anyone who wants to hunt waterfowl in the big country of Saskatchewan.

For several years now, our group annually gets together with Shawn and Company for a wonderful time in the outdoors hunting waterfowl. While always a great time, this year’s goose hunting was truly exceptional-in fact the best in my lifetime-anywhere in North America. Shawn and Blair did a great job scouting, setting up willow blinds that were very comfortable, and then expertly calling the birds so even the most challenged (they will remain nameless) shooters in our group could excel. Add to that the very comfortable lake house with fireplace, great kitchen, hot tub and more and we had the perfect scenario to cook great Cajun food, tell lies and enjoy the fellowship that such an adventure can bring. The best testimonial is that we have already booked next year and have a waiting list of buddies wishing to go if any of our group can’t make it. Thanks again to Shawn and ‘Frenchie” (aka Blair) for the extra effort you guys always deliver.

I have hunted geese with Shawn Nyholt in 2008, and 2009 and both hunts were great experiences. I am a serious hunter and shooter and have hunted geese for over 50 years, and I have never had a better hunt anywhere. Shawn is always on time, has the best equipment, knows the area, has permission to hunt, and spends the time scouting the evening before the hunt. He leaves nothing to chance and we always have birds to shoot. His setup of decoys and blinds relative to the wind is exceptional and the results are birds in our face. Shawn has a pleasing personality and fun sence of humor and is a great guy to be with in the field.

I have had the pleasure to hunt with Shawn and the staff of Pro-Staff Outdoors LTD. for 4 years in a row and have found after hunting several other outfitters in Sask. and Alberta that he and his staff provided our group with top notch Canada goose and Snow goose hunting that is first class using the best of equipment ( DECOYS ) (BLINDS) and scouting for the birds along with a very enjoying staff to hunt with.Along with Shawn and Blair your hunt will be a very FUN and successful, feeling just like you were hunting with your regular hunting friends.I have not stayed at the Lodge but will consider it next season as this was the first year he has had the lodge and I had already booked our motel.Look forward to next season 2010 and hunting with Shawn and Blair. My group has been hunting with Shawn Nyholt and Pro- Staff Outdoors now for 3 years and we would recommend them to anyone. We have had incredible experiences each year, killing numbers of limits of geese and ducks. We had a day in 2008 where we took 87 snows, blues and Canada geese in one morning.

Shawn and Blair run a first class operation with tons of land available to hunt and top notch scouting each and every day. One of the great things about hunting with Pro- Staff and Saskatchewan in general, is the generous limits you have on both geese and ducks. We have had opportunities in the past years to kill limits of geese in the mornings and limits of mallards and pintails in the evenings. I don’t know of anywhere else, this can be accomplished on a daily basis.

My group will be returning in the fall for our 4th trip and we can’t wait to get back to Saskatchewan and whack’ em and stack’ em with Shawn.
